What a great week this has been! Students are settling nicely into third grade routines. Even the day off in the middle of the week didn’t break their stride—they filled the marble jar again!
As a reward, we will have a board game day on Monday, 9/24 to play math games such as Yahtzee and language arts games like Apples to Apples Jr. Kids are able to bring in a favorite board game with your permission.
Please note that the Fundations spelling/word work packet is due on Friday, 9/28. Your third grader may want to wait until next week to tackle the last pages marked “week 2” so they have some week 2 lessons under their belts beforehand.
The math log and weekly homework sheet will begin next week. On Monday, your child will receive a log sheet to record their math fact practice. On the other side is an overview of the lessons that week in all subject areas.
A final reminder that the Scholastic Book order forms should be submitted online or paper orders brought to school no later than Friday, September 28, 2018 to ensure your order is included in the class order.
Thanks for all you do to support your third grader!
