The third grade students have been learning a lot about our country's election process in Social Studies class. They have even been able to experience the process first hand with our Student Council elections. (Thankfully, in school it has been a much quicker and much more painless process!)
Over the last two weeks, the students who wanted to run for student council have filled out applications, campaigned with posters and promises, and even given speeches in class. (That is such a hard thing to do and they all did a really wonderful job!)
Each of the students in third grade classes got the opportunity to register to vote and fill out their very own ballot to vote for the two students they think will do the best job.
It has been an exciting experience for everyone involved. All of the teachers are very proud of the students!
